OUR FOCUS

STEM subjects are the foundation for any higher-level education, and educational facilities that manage to provide their students with excellent quality for each of the four subjects undoubtedly have a higher chance to come out on top. IVY in partnership with US Harmony Schools offers a rigorous, well-rounded education with a special emphasis on all four of the STEM subjects; Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

Harmony Schools have developed a standards-aligned, cross-disciplinary, multi-sensory model called STEM Students On the Stage (STEM SOS) that integrates three core subject areas: a STEM subject of choice, social studies, and English language arts, enabling the development of today's students by giving them the necessary skills to grow into the innovators of tomorrow. Harmony Schools have also ensured that the quality STEM Focused education they offer is provided for all students during school years.

At IVY, we provide an American Diploma in partnership with Harmony Schools in the USA with significant emphasis on:

  Math

  Science

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS

The Common Core State Standards© for English Language Arts & Literacy represent the next-generation of K-12 standards designed to prepare all students for success in university, career, and life by the time they graduate from high school by promoting critical-thinking, and the ability to closely and attentively read texts in a way that will help them understand and enjoy complex works of literature, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The standards lay out a vision of what it means to be a literate person who is prepared for success in the 21st century.

MATHEMATICS

Common Core State Standards© for Math draw on the most important international modes for mathematical practice, as well as research and input from numerous sources, including scholars, assessment developers, professional organizations, & educators. The knowledge and skills students need to be prepared for mathematics in university, career, and life are woven throughout the mathematics standards. The Common Core concentrates on a clear set of math skills and concepts. Students will learn concepts in a more organized way Both during the school year and across grades. The standards encourage students to solve red-world problems.

SCIENCE

Next-Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are standards with a purpose covering every grade and every scientific discipline, setting expectations for what students should know and be able to do in science. A major differentiator of NGSS is its "three-dimensional" (3D) learning which refers to the thoughtful and deliberate integration of three distinct dimensions: Scientific and Engineering Practices (SEPs), Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs). Through 3D learning, the NGSS emphasizes that science is not just a series of isolated facts. This awareness enables students to view science more as an interrelated world of inquiry and phenomena a static set of science disciplines. The NGSS represents a fundamental shift in science education and requires a different approach to teaching science than has been done in the past. The NGSS enable teachers to offer all students interactive instruction that promotes analysis and interpretation of data, critical thinking, problem-solving, and connections across science disciplines—with a high set of expectations for achievement.

HUMANITIES

Humanities studies help students value literature, social sciences, different cultures, what goes into making history, and how a work of art is designed. The efforts in humanities highlight the great heritage of the past, give us tools to have a global perspective and enable us to imagine the future.
